Yeah, the explanation only cements my personnal feeling about Cathay : this is a mariesuesque faction (chaotic worship, celestial dragons, giants comets, automaton armies, largest nation on earth! etc. I've got other theories that I think also grounds the other Far Eastern races/kingdoms Ind/Nippon/Khuresh into the wider Warhammer setting but obviously it's just my own fanmade headcanon and probably wouldn't be to everyone's liking. It would explain why Cathayan Celestial magic is so much stronger than the in Empire of Sigmar. These could be other descendants of the Dracothion like being before it decided to take human form an became the first Cathayan Dragon Emperor. There's also the Cathayan Serpentine Dragons. It was hinted that the Cathayans were as powerful if not more powerful than the Empire. Problem is the lack of lore and the fact that GW left many things unexplained. Of course I realise GW hasn't much delved on the lore of non playable entities, but still. There is also the issue in lore of why Cathayans should be able of such prowess when they haven't been actually taught by the high elves, like the empire did. Only TK have constructs so far, and it goes with the theme of egyptians architects and a civilization that doesn't rely on anything alive anymore. 2K A Total War Saga: Thrones of BritanniaĮven if the armor is following an historical theme (somehow, they are wading a bit into overdone here) I still dislike those animated lions.846 A Total War Saga: Fall of the Samurai.Later a single fang was used to make the Hydra Blade within which part of its malice survived. It was torn apart by the Caledorian Dragon Incalamir. Akholrak was the first and most powerful of the War Hydras broken to the service of Malekith. ![]()
